To participate in Scossies, please ensure you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Assumption of Risk

You will run according to your fitness abilities and assume responsibility for your own hydration, nutrition and general health and safety.

You certify that you are in good physical condition and have no medical conditions that would prevent you from safely participating in club activities. You understand that it is your responsibility to consult with a healthcare professional before participating if you have any doubt about your fitness level.

Release of liability

You release, discharge and hold Scossies, its organisers, leaders and other participants from any liability for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur to you while participating in club activities, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death.

Emergency medical treatment

In the event of a medical emergency, you authorise the club’s leaders to obtain medical treatment on your behalf, including transportation to a medical facility if necessary. You understand that you are responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

Photography and Publicity

You grant permission for the club to use photographs or videos taken during club activities for promotional purposes.

Code of conduct

You also understand that if you breach these rules, Scossies has the right to discontinue your membership at any time.

You agree that you will keep left when you run along the path and stay out of the cycle lane. You will look out for your fellow runners and if you see them alone or struggling will offer support. You will be aware of your surroundings at all times. You will use traffic lights and street crossings to cross roads. You will wear reflective gear when running at night. You will take care on uneven terrain such as Kangaroo Point Steps.
